Weldon City Schools School Nutrition Overview
Weldon City Schools consist of three school sites with conventional, self-preparation (on-site), air conditioned food service facilities. The sites are Weldon Middle School, Weldon Elementary Global Academy, and Weldon Stem High School Career Academy Cafeterias. The school nutrition unit is staffed with fifteen employees and one full-time director. The school nutrition budget is over $760,000.00. As reported on the monthly participation reports submitted to the state department, Average Daily Membership (ADM) is 1080 and Average Daily Attendance (ADA) is 1015. Approximately 94% of the total student membership is present daily. Weldon City Schools' School Nutrition Program provides federally regulated nutritious and appealing meals of high quality in a pleasant atmosphere. The program has established good rapport among school food service employees, principals, board members, administrators, local community, media and students. The school nutrition department encourages empowerment for its employees and continue to educate students, parent, faculty, administrators, and the community on nutritional trends and dietary regulations that will impact on their lives.
